It seems the route to musical acceptance, these days, is cookie-cutter drivel. We don’t buy into that.
.end of story is a three-piece hard-rock band that redefines the term “power trio”.

A great review of our upcoming release, Revolving Door, from Hardcoremix internet Radio.

“Revolving Door” by .end of story pulls listeners into a reflective, emotionally charged space where repetition and restlessness take center stage. The track captures the feeling of being stuck in cycles, relationships, habits, or moments you can’t quite escape, using mood-driven production and a strong sense of atmosphere. The instrumentation feels restrained but intentional, allowing the emotion to breathe while the arrangement gradually builds tension.
Vocally, the delivery carries a quiet urgency, balancing vulnerability with resolve, and helping the song’s theme hit without feeling overdone.
What makes “Revolving Door” stand out is its relatability. It doesn’t over-explain or dramatize its message; instead, it trusts the listener to fill in the blanks. The result is a song that feels honest, introspective, and memorable, one that lingers after it ends and invites repeat listens.
.end of story continues to show a knack for blending emotion and restraint, making “Revolving Door” a compelling entry in their catalog.

Today, December 12, 2024 marks the 13th anniversary of the .self-propelled record. Originally recorded in 2000 the project was shelved as band members were changing. The record features the incredible drumming of the late Troy Hagar.
When Dave Eichman joined forces with Skot in 2004, this music was pulled from the archives. The project originally contained 17 tracks, several of which were re-recorded and appear on .the sonic blueprint. In 2011, and at the time without a drummer, Skot and Dave decided to finish and release the .self-propelled record.
This is considered by many to be the ultimate .end of story record. Featuring the singles Equilibrium, Afraid, Reaper Sublime and also the epic mind melter, Greener.
There's a very long story regarding the history of this record and how it finally got released. Perhaps Skot will share that story someday. Until then, head to the music page and download your copy of .self-propelled.

Today we celebrate the 24th anniversary of the self-titled debut EP. This is where it all started. Recorded at Anybody Listening? studio in Wichita Kansas and produced by James Ismert, this record demanded attention and was an excellent example of the sound, now so recognizable as .end of story. The track list includes three stellar original songs and a revved up re-make of an old Argent tune, Hold Your Head Up.
Along side Skot on guitar and vocals, the album features original drummer Buddy Truesdell and long-time friend Andrew Coss on bass. When asked about the history and impact of the debut EP, Skot remarked “It seems like just yesterday and an entire lifetime ago, all at once. It was the beginning and it was exciting beyond words. Some fantastic memories and an incredible foundation for the next 27 years of music. We still get asked to play these songs at shows. That's an amazing feeling.”
If you haven't heard the debut EP, you are truly missing out. Stop by the music page and download a copy, or get a hard copy CD in the merch market. Songs as strong today as they were 24 years ago.

One year out from the release of the Providence EP and we find .end of story working on demos for an upcoming full-length record. Seven songs are completed in demo form, including a remake of the classic Jackson Browne tune, Doctor My Eyes. Guitarist- vocalist, Skot Reed says “I think the new material is some of the strongest work we've done in years, if not ever.” A collection of diverse styles and vibes, yet remaining true to the signature .end of story sound. This is definitely a record to look forward to.
In addition to work on a new record the band is conducting drummer auditions. Skot and Dave are eager to get back on a stage and see some faces. There's nothing like the energy at an .end of story show and it's been far too long. We look forward to finding the right person to fill the drum throne and complete the formula that is .end of story.
